Year at a Glance

I know it has been forever since I've had a really post. Sorry, I've been more into Facebook then blogging. I wish I could go the other way around and have less of an
ADHD approach to life
but yeah not happenin. Haha
So lets start to catch up just from this year.

January
My birthday and anniversary are in January. Dang I turned 29! Almost 30... what to do?
For our Anniversary Brett bought me a
GOWEAR FIT. It's a beautiful thing. Have you ever seen The Biggest Loser? It similar to the arm bands that they were. Same thing actually just a different brand. It helps to keep track of your burned calories during the day and also your sleep efficiency and then you input in the website the calories you've taken in. In hopes to better monitor your weight and hopefully lose. In my case, maintain, because I was pregnant this year. So I didn't want to lose weight. I couldn't afford to gain 50 lbs. either.
I managed to only gain 27 lbs. And I give all the credit to my GOWEAR FIT. :)

February
Coy turned 1!! Such a big boy now. I can't believe how time flies. He is so spunky and fun to be around and his smile is super contagious.

Dylan turned 4 yrs. this year. He attended preschool at Miss. Ann's preschool and he absolutely loved it. I think it was more for social life then anything but he did learn alot.

March - April
Well I can't think of much that happened these months. I was getting big with child but not huge. I worked out a ton and really got into Zumba & Spin. I went to these classes faithfully every week. In fact the week I delivered Tessa, I went to spin. (2 days before though)

May
Kendrick came for the summer! It is always nice to get him here. Everyone misses him so much when he is in Arizona, especially Dylan.

Dylan played on his first official soccer team, coached by Brett and his 3 brothers. He played in a league in Cedar Hills, not Orem, so he could play spring ball. But this allowed him to play with his cousins Hunter, Hendrix and Chase. It was awesome to see hi play. He's quite the little striker. He has a lot of natural talent.

My little
Tessa Nicole was born on the 27th at 3:59 am. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19 in long. We didn't get to bring her home from the hospital when I was released though. The morning of the 28th she was struggling to breath. My nurse came in early that morning to inform me that they would watch her carefully but no action would follow yet. Then 2 hours later they came in and said they would wait for her Dr. to make the final call but pretty sure they needed to send her to NICU.
At 6 am the Dr. came in and explained everything and said she would call for the team to move her from Orem Community Hospital to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where she would be in the NICU mostly for evaluation. However, they would put her on an antibiotic that required her to stay for at least 3 days. Depending on how well she responded to that she could be there from 3-10 days.
After the Dr. left my room, I just broke down in tears. I sobbed. I felt everything would be fine but my baby was in need of serious help and of course that was scary.
So she went to the NICU and stayed for 3 days. We were fortunate to bring her home so soon. It was hard to be there knowing our baby was going to be just fine but babies all around you were hangin on for dear life. So it was nice to have her home.

June
Life was crazy in June. I was trying to figure out how to be a mom of so many little kids. I can honestly say it is so much easier to adjust to this time. Not because I wasn't overwhelmed but because I had soooo much help from family and friends. I feel truly loved.

Cooper has been the hardest of all my kids. If he doesn't end up in the hospital soon it will be a miracle. He climbs on the tallest thing in the room. He even scales his dad's shoulders at meal times so he can be on top and the tallest in the room. I've had neighbors bring him in from the street nearly everyday. Brett fixed the backyard fence so I could shut the kids in the backyard but no Cooper has to climb over the fence to get out. I've found him on top of my car (a GMC Yukon), climbing the refrigerator doors to reach the WII on top, oh yeah and he often lays down in the middle of the road to lick the yellow line. YUCK!
All I can ask is that if you see Cooper doing something dangerous or mischievous just bring him to safety and don't JUDGE me... I do that enough for one person.

July
This brings us to date. It is still crazy around my house and probably won't get any better. I feel like I've joined the circus. Brett and I have started to say that we have 12 kids... well it's because we started counting them and somehow we ended up on the number 12. Haha Sometimes I feel like I am the laughing stalk of the town. Is it a good thing I live in a big town?

We had Tessa blessed on the 1st Sunday which happened to be July 4th. She looked so beautiful in her long blessing dress. My mom made it for her and she did an amazing job.

Kendrick went to Houston, TX with Great Aunt Beth. She takes all the great nieces and nephews to the destination of their choice after they have been baptized. Just so happens that Kendrick's cousin Jaxson will turn 8 this October and Kendrick is well over 8 now. So we decided they could go together. Late for Kendrick and early for Jaxson but nonetheless they had a great time together. They went to the biggest water park in the country, an Astro's game, the movies, and the Space Museum.
Now we are trying to cram the rest of the summer into 2 weeks. Kendrick will go back to Arizona on the 30th and we still need to do things. Brett and Kendrick are trying to get this old motorcycle to work. They took it apart today and I don't know what they have to do for it. I also need to get him to focus on his scouts or else he won't get his Bear before he leaves and we still have tons of things we want to do with family and friends. Reality is, there isn't enough time. So if I wasn't crazy before I will be for the next 2 weeks.

And then as soon as August is here we have a Lake Powell trip planned. WOW!!! is all I have to say about that.
That is this year in a Nutshell.
Hopefully I can keep more up to date from here on out.

Sounds like a busy, fun, crazy year!!! I can not wait to see all your little ones together. Especially since I have not had the chance to see Tessa. She looks absolutely beautiful. By the way girl, no judging here just props. I think you are amazing for having all your little ones around you right now. I have to laugh, although I am sure you cringe, about Cooper licking the yellow line in the road. What a funny little man?!

We miss you tons & need to get together SOON!! Maybe a BBQ? Let me know what you think. Also when are you going to Lake Powell? We are suppose to be going as well.

I didn't know Tessa had been in the NICU. That has to be one of the hardest things. Von was in the NICU for 9 days and those were among the hardest days in my life.
It's fun to read about your family.
