Alaska Trip Day 2
We woke up not so early haha and dejunked our bags. We decided to separate out a few days worth of things to lighten our load. We only packed things that were necessary for the week.
Then off to track down our form of transportation... 4 wheelers. We were suppose to have 4 lined up. Well after trying all day to get ahold of people we were only successful in getting 1. My dad was pretty stressed and embarrassed. But none of us cared that it didn't work out.
We got to see the town in the meantime and took tons of pictures.
By about 4 o'clock we decided to try and rent a truck to take us out. It was funny trying to deal with the local rental center. It was actually just part of the hotel. My dad had called before we went down there to see if there was one available and the Branch President of the branch up here told him there were plenty. So when we got down there the clerk said there wasn't one. Haha. My dad mentioned the presidents name and his story changed to " well we might have one tomorrow" then when we said something else about Sean he said "ok well there is one. but it is the Presidents truck so please please please don't mess it up" haha When we walked out back to retrieve our truck there were like 10 trucks back there. I don't know what he was talking about that there weren't any trucks. We took tons of pictures of the truck so they can't say we did something. ;)
After that we packed up and went out to the "bush".
We saw 6 cow moose on the way out to camp. And we were hopeful for the next days hunt.

Hey sister, just wanted you to know. That when you said you went out to the "bush", you were in the "bush" the minute you got off the plane. :) Just giving you crap but really Nome is called "the bush". Sounds like you guys are having fun.
