Alaska Trip Day 5

We decided to go out to Council today. In order to do that we took a long road out by the shore of the Bering Sea (Norton Sound) We went by the village Safety Sound. At times we had water on both sides of us. Crazy thing is the Natives have their village all along the shoreline.
I don't know how someone could live like that. They don't have plumbing, no running water, no electricity, and no stores for miles. I pretty sure there is any fiber Internet especially utopia Internet. Haha Brett would simply have to change professions.
Once we got across the sound we got into good bear country.
At least that is what they say. We drove the whole way to Council and only saw a few Musk Ox and some Red Salmon.
We stopped to try our hand at fishing for Reds. And what do you know, we got one.
There were about 6 in the stream just swimming in the deep parts. Man they were so red and huge. You could see them from the road. I've never seen anything like it. I'll let you know how it tastes later tonight when we cook it up for dinner. :)
Oh we saw another fox but still no Bear and defiantly no Bull Moose. It's ok though. We are still in the first week.
