Family Vacation to So. Cal
We just returned from a trip we took to San Diego. It was alot of work but a blast to be with all of our kids. We went visit Brett's aunt and uncle who live in El Cajon, Ca. It was Kendrick's spring brake so we flew him to San Diego and then we drove from here to there.
The way there was great. The kids slept for the most part. McCoy woke up at his normal times and we only stopped for about an hour maybe an hour and a half. That, of course, was because we traveled at night. Lets just say don't always count on movies to entertain the kids. On the way back we drove during the day and got home at 6 am. We got her only 2 hrs. earlier then we ended up there... and we started 5 hrs. earlier. Yeah who knew that driving during the day would call for potty breaks, walk abouts, and they think they need to eat too. Not to mention that a newborn doesn't like to be in his car seat.
McCoy just really had had it by the time we were headed home and he just did not make it easy on us. But hey that is just he driving of our trip.
We had a blast playing in the pool, going to the zoo, to Legoland, and the beach. We asked Kendrick what his favorite part was and he said the beach. So there goes to show that it doesn't matter how much money you spend you could please them better by just spending a day at the beach (for free).
Above all we had a great time just being a family.
I am going through my pix now and once they are organized I will post some of them for you.

That sounds like so much fun! As many times as we have traveled to Oregon we have learned that leaving at 2 am is the only way to go because they sleep. What's up with eating anyways? ;) LoL!
Oh, we took tha family pics at Payson park in fall. It was beautiful but I wish we had a pro like you cause they would have been wall quality. We took it with our video camera & it turned out really grainy.
We miss you guys & still need to see that cutie McCoy. We need a game night!
And you think you know someone! I had no idea you where going to Cali. apperantly you forgot to clear that through managment! I'm glad you had fun. How was legoland? The boys have been begging to go.
