Alaska Trip Day 1

The flights into Nome were great. We started out from SLC at 9:55 am and arrived in Seattle sometime around noon Seattle time. We left Seattle around 1 and flew to Anchorage. After arriving there we waited an hour or so and then flew to Kotzebue.


We didn't get of that plane and shortly after landing went to Nome.





We had a few minor set backs. In SLC they inspected our luggage and took out our camping stove. Crystal (Aaron's wife) was still there so she took it home. Then in Seattle the gate agent threw a fit about how big and how many carry ones we had. So after I was a little snappy with him :} he took our two biggest bags and checked them in. We weren't sure however if he sent them on to Nome or just the Anchorage. So we struggled to figure that out. Good news though... They were sent to Nome.
When we finally got all our bags drone the plane we ended up with two of our biggest bags having huge rips all the way around almost and one of the buckles came off our tote. Honestly, how did that happen?
Other then that the trip to Nome was harmless.
The missionaries came to pick us up from the airport and took us to the church where we settled in for the night.
