Tonight we had our wards Enrichment Night. I didn't have a clue what it was about but went anyway. Wow... am I glad I did.
It ended up being a fireside type program about Jenny Phillips book called Parable of the Princesses. It was wonderful. I'm not sure my crying time and again was entirely because of the pregnancy... I couldn't help but think of those in my life that have lost their way and then again reevaluating my position in life and asking where my beliefs are.
The book is about three princesses that are sent away from their father and given certain guidelines that will help them stay safe and be able to return to their father once again. So a parable about how we left our Father in Heaven and given the scriptures and other "helps" to help us return to live with Him once again.
It talks of the Atonement and how it is never too late to partake of the gift of Christ.
The people giving the presentation testified of the Atonement and the power of it. The man spoke of the word Remember... This is when I cried the most and realized how important it is to Remember our Heavenly Father, Remember His plan for us, Remember the Atonement and how it is possible to turn back home, Remember to read the scriptures, and Remember that those that are labeled lost are only lost as long as we refuse to look for them.
I just am full of love for my Savior right now. I am glad that I could be reminded that I am a Princess and even though I am not raising any little princesses I still have Princes to remind of the glorious plan of our Father.
I am grateful for missionary work or plainly the work of our Savior and the power to help people come back to our Father again.
So with all this I recommend you check out this book. It comes with a CD of songs that illustrate the point as well. Jenny Phillips is the author of the songs too, as far as I understand.
I just thought I would share these thoughts with you while they were fresh in my head. Hope you enjoy the thoughts.
